Law of Attraction Versus Bible

Couple days ago, Jack send me a movie named "The Secret". He told me this secret is compatible with ancient advanced Kung Fu. Once you understand it, there will be a breakthorugh in your life, be it to business, relationship, family etc. Wow. it sounds great ! 

Basically this movie divided into 3 parts, which are ask, believe and receive. 

Ask: After knowing what you want, ask the universe for it.

Believe: Feel it and believe it as if your desire is on its way

Receive: Align yourself with Universe and open yourself up to receiving.

By this three steps, your very wanted desire/things/dream will manifested. 

It sound so familiar to a christian! I can conclude that these are from bible. 

⁷"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ⁸For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.   Matthew 7:7-8

Law of Attraction is just 2% of the bible! However, I would say that this Law of Attraction is not come from God but from Satan. I believe this practice will lead us to "success" but it did not lead us to God. The principle of living is correct but the fundamental of source of success is a big mistake. Law of Attraction leading people to ask from universe instead of God. I'm curious who and what is universe. In fact, God is the creator of the universe. By this point, I planned to share with Jack that the source of success is come from God. Well, we managed to have a short and merely discussion on this topic. According to Jack, as long as he success in having what he desire, he would not care the origin of the source. 

Man plants the seed, but if there is no sunlight and rain, can a man get the harvest ? Of course no ! Law of Attraction is leading people to believe that their succeed is come by their own effort and hard work. Besides that, I wonder the power of universe is come from God or satan. We have to be clear with.

According to Matthew 6:33, ³³But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Seek God kingdom means making God as our very first priority , acknowlegdge Him in every area of our life nnd His Righteousness refers to Jesus. We are righteousness in God's eye not by our own good work but by Jesus. Enlighten by Pastor Prince's sermon, we have to be Jesus' concious instead of sin concious. From the bible, all the good things happen to God's righteous man/ woman. Jesus concious will lead us to be concious of what He had paid for us. After knowing it, believe that we are righterous man/woman of God, act like it and believing that all the good things are circulating our life and it happens !  

God had already gave us His Son, Jesus. If we think that God is not going to give us health, wealth, a job..etc, it means that health, wealth...are more valuble than His Son. How could it be ?

Blessed weekend

I always wish to have a elder sister or elder brother since young. No other reason, it just simply because I am the elder in my family. Maybe this is one of the reason I like to close with those who are slightly older than me. Is slightly older, not older or very much older..because I have a gap generation with older in term of thought, topic, taste..i just simply cannot communicate with old people.

Back to topic.
My God is an understanding God. He knew me that i was logging for a sister or brother. And He brought them to my life. The only reason I love my second year in Uni is because of their present. And this has been always my sweetest memories during my uni life. I enjoyed the feeling of being care by a sis or bro, feeling being pampered..

This particular feeling came back as I visited them in singapore last weekend. We are still very close though we hardly meet. I guess this is the what "brother and sister in Christ" means! We have common believe, we have common faith, we even have common identity, which is prince and princess of God's kingdom. The only kingdom in this universe that never be shaken nor end.

To me, "friendship forever" may only apply to those who can be friend forever, never pass away, is eternity. Well, i can use this to describe our friendship. Simply because we will meet in heaven someday. Hmm..our common "home". 

Kuchai Lama Roasted Chicken Wing

" Dear leng lui, I found out a good place 4lamb chop, interested 2hv it tonite? "
" Sorry gal, I cant make it as i have to work OT , enjoy"
" Okay, nvm. Work hard n take care ya". 

Well, I dont care..I must have it by this evening since everyone is giving good comment on this roasted lamb chop. Without wasting a second, I drove to Kuchai Lama and park my car beside the main road.

Cao Cao Lamb Chop, Here I am ! I have been waiting for this hour since two days ago :P

Kind of awkard as I not used to dine alone, should I tabao ? But it smell so nice.....okay, should have it now !

This is good ! But not as special as I expected..Penang eater mar..must have some requirement.. I like to eat it with the papermint sauce..actually, I like the sauce more than the meat.

Okay, should order roaster taofu as well...no other reason, just simply miss Penang Farlim pasar malam. I used to have it with my family while I'm in Penang.

Full ! But the raosted chicken wing look so nice. Hence, again..I order as I cant reisit it. Amarzingly, what's a juicy chicken wing. I like this. The best disher compared to the other two.

Thank you, Lord for giving me such a wonder dinner..love you :)

Pulau Ketam Trip

During lunch in one of the restaurant in Kuchai Lama, we were discussing how are we going to spend the rest of the day. Well, Pulau Ketam had became one of spontaneous trip for us. After lunch, we drove to Port Klang jetty (North Port) and jumped into a ferry to Pulau Ketam.

Ferry service to Pulau Ketam. RM 7.oo per person.
It take about 1 hour journey to Pulau Ketam.
Felicia posting in front of fire Station. We were shocked as we read the signboard. It stated: Volunteer Fire Flighter. Hmm..interestingThis is the only lane which occupied with tourist and restaurant.


Each resisdent house is connected which a long deck.Bicycle is the only tranportation tool at here. I guess the main reason is no petrol station on Pulau Ketam :PWe dressed up like a tourist. No wonder we were conned by the seafood tauke..

Strut and Tie Method

Strut and Tie is a unified approach that consider all load effect ( Moment, Axial, shear and torsion) simultaneously. This design method is useful for shear critical structure and for others disturbed region in concrete structures. Hence Strut and Tie model provides a rational approach by representing a complex structural member with an appropriate simplified truss model.

The Basic Concept of Strut and Tie Model : A framework where the stress distribution in a structure is idealized as a system of

1. Strut = Compression member (concrete)
2. Tie/stirrup = Tension member (reinforcement)
3. Node = Connection (Concrete)

Example: Strut and Tie model In Beam


Strut
1. Serves as compression chord of the truss mechanism which resists moment.
2. Serves as diagonal struts which transfer shear to the support.
3. Diagonal struts are generally oriented parallel to the expected axis of cracking.

Ties
The most critical consideration is the provision of adequate anchorage for the reinforcement.

Assumption in design :
1. Tension in concrete is neglected
2. Forces in strut and tie is uni-axial
3. External load applied on node

Strut and Tie method is using for transfer shear wall design in Esteem 7.

Thank you, I really have a wonderful time, everything turns out out of my expectation. To be honest, I never expect so much about that. Anyway I just like it. 

Hmm..I shall remark today as "somehow or rather, life is all about bonding and understanding".A bowl of tang yuen, remind me about student life..How come? I don't know. But that's not important. The important is about those memories. Place that I stayed and things that I used to do it in the past become so 'strange', like never happen before..Start to force myself to recall back, but it dint work. Funny..
