What is 1 Malaysia really mean?

I'm always proud to spend my secondary school in a Kebangsaan Sekolah. In school, there was the only channel I able to make friends with Malay and Indian. They are not as "bad" as I thought when I was in chinese primary school. Some of them even became my good friends, we share, we laugh and we respect each other.

I remember when my form teacher, who is a Malay pass away in an accident, we cried for days. We visited him when he was in ICU and we took the initiative to attend his funeral. We moan. Even now, some of us still feel the lost. And surprisingly is all my classmate were Chinese (majority) and Indian. No malays students! This is 1 Malaysia really mean. From this it prove that, only if we are willing to use our heart to know each other more, to respect each other, to understand and to accept the differences, races and religion can never be the wall to stop us from love and unity.

My mum always said :" Not all the yellow skin (chinese) are good and not all the black ( non chinese ) are bad." I totally agree with this statement. And this statement only apply to my school friends where there was  no special treatment to any race. To those who I don't know, especially Malay, I always have negative perspective towards them. And the strange thing is I never have bad perspective toward other race, like Indian, Punjabis and etc.

Later on I found out the main reason I don't like malay is because they are bumiputera. Due to bumiputera status, they have priority in many areas in Malaysia. One of it is Non-bumiputera has to study very very hard in order to get a place in public university. Government prepare a one year pre-university course (matrikulasi) for bumiputera, the syllabus is very slightly higher than SPM/O Level. Whereas non-bumiputera has to continue form six (A level). Pre-university is a passport to public university. Hence those who are from pre-university, they have the priority to get a place in public university first. After that then only for form six students. The worst thing is 90% quota of pre-university course seat is reserve for bumiputera. Scholarship also got bumiputera quota and it regardless on how good you score. You can only compete with your own race. You will not able to get scholarship even though you score better than bumiputera. 5-8% rebate on property for bumiputera, government projects only award to bumiputera company and many many more.

All these priorities are set by our "beloved" government ! These priorities are the element that break the unity secretly and indirectly. Non-bumiputera never want a better treatment from government, all we ask is a fair treatment. Just like Singapore government. Never judge base on colour but base on performance !

This is 1 Malaysia ? What a contradict slogan?! How can you call us your sibling when you actually treat us as "second class" citizen, a foreigner or a bastard ?

Maybe this is time to change government ! Even US has black guy president, why can't we have chinese or indian or punjabis or other races as PM? We need a capable and righteous PM, not a slogan maker idiot !

Matthew 3: 1-12

The bread of Life

The Preaching of John the Baptist

1 Now in those days John the Baptist camepreaching in the wilderness of Judeasaying2"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." 3 For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet when he said, "THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, 'MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORDMAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT !' " 4 Now John himself had garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist ; and his food was locusts and wild honey5 Then Jerusalem was going out to him, and all Judea and all the district around the Jordan ; 6 and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, as they confessed their sins7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come ? 8 "Therefore bear fruit in keeping withrepentance ; 9 and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our father '; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham10"The axe is already laid at the root of the trees ; therefore every tree that does not bear good fruitis cut down and thrown into the fire11 "As for me, baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals ; He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire12 "His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor ; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff withunquenchable fire."

Summary
The first "Baptist" show in bible is at Matthew 3:1. Is Baptist a new ritual practice in New Testament?

Refer to a few relevant contexts in New Testament , it shows that baptism did take place in Old testament. And from the finding, we can say Baptism = Circumcision. And we know that circumcision is actually a type of practise to represent the Covenant between God and Abraham. This means that once we were baptised via holy spirit and water, we do inherit the Covenant! The best contract in the world!  What a great news when I found out this. Every single word in Bible represent the promise and goodness of God. Lord, thanks for showing me this promise.

Why the Gospels mention that John the baptist wearing camel's hair garment? Refer to 2 Kings 1:8 ,  this attire represent Elijah ( Malachi 4: 1-6), which shows the prophecy were fulfilled. But why John the Baptist denied himself as Elijah while actually Jesus said he is? Besides Jesus there too other verse in bible speaks that John the Baptist is the one who sent by God to prepare the hearts of men before Messiah. This is another long and deep discussion. Hmmm..

Any how, from the context again it confirm us the identity of Jesus. He is the long waited Messiah. My Saviour :)

The imperfect me loved by His prefect love

Bra-ra shi .....(Speak in tongue)..Nichole, the Lord said there are things deep in your heart that you yet to surrender to Him. Area that you do not allow Him to take care. I pray the Lord presence anointing in your life. Even you reject Him, the Lord said He still love you. .... This is the way He show His love to you. Stop to prove your ability, stop to be someone you are not, stop to revenge, stop struggling with yourself...surrender to Him, depend on Him and He will take care of it...

A pastor merely knows my name told me these during an altar call. Un-intentionally I was drag by a sister to  the altar call. That Sunday service my heart was numbed. I don't really feel the presence of Lord during praise and worship. Even so, He assured with me about His presence and love.

Lord, thanks for loving me. I know you long to confirm with me about this love. I know it is You because only You know what I had been gone through. I wish I could surrender. I wish I can be like Nikki. I know you love me but I just could't control myself. Maybe I don't really understand/know about Your love enough. Lord, teach me. I want to live a life that acknowledge about Your love, a life that having an intimate relationship with You, a life that I can assure all my burdens & treasure unto Your hand, a life that hunger about Your words every second.

Lord, I really don't know how to have a life like this. No one able to tell me how to do it. Only You, Lord. Show me Lord.

Lord, thank you for telling me that You still love me even though I fail.

The unknown feeling

Does she really recover from the injury or actually too numb with pain to cry out?
It has been kind of long time she never cry though she still feeling something.
The unknown feeling.
It seem like this feeling will follow her forever.

That injure has change her character.
No one knows the reason of the changes besides God and herself.
Thinking the change would make her stronger.
Does it really work?

Has she lost her DNA?
Or maybe she is just good in acting.
Just maybe..

A year filled with God's goodness

Shiok Sendiri Posting :p
2011 is a tough year to my family and career. I still remember I had my very first day of 2011 in hospital. After a month of my op, my dad's turn. All of sudden, he enter hospital due to mild stroke. Later on my mum's turn. While I thought all the bad things were away from my family, mum told us that she wish to divorce with dad. They quarrel and the situation seem like no turning point. And then my career crisis.

Well, it might start with all bad things but my God end my year with his goodness. I thank God for preserving my life. I never plan to do a check up in hospital and had an operation. My cysts burst. Doctor said I might lost my life once those toxic fluid circular through out my body. The op just happened on time.

Besides me, dad become the first mild stroke patient in Island Hospital to be healed in the shortest time. It only took two months for dad to gain back his 95% energy. I remember while his in hospital, he can't even talk and walk. Carry a pillow is an impossible mission to him. According to doctor, such condition need a least six to eight months to recover. In the second weeks, a pastor came to my house and pray for dad. Dad have a very good sleep on that night. Before pastor leave, he told David that dad will be healed on the very second day. No one take this word seriously. On the second day early morning, I heard dad crying. He manage to carry a pillow and walk slowly without a support. This is my second time seeing dad cry. From that days onward, we can see God healing hand upon dad. And now he can drive, carry heavy stuff, hiking etc.

Dad cut down his work load after the stroke. To our amaze, his business profit increase amazingly.I start to understand while God want us to rest. Because at the moment we rest, God work for us. He provide beyond our needs. Thanks

Mum's leg healed without op. She can even walk longer than me and Nikki while we were in Hong Kong. We were so worry about mum condition that she can't walk too much hence I cut down a lot of places to be visited in Hong Kong. End up me and Nikki cried as our leg sprain and tired. Mum's feel nothing! funny.

Dad and mum issue resolved. After the incident, our family are closer to each other. I can see dad changing, he cares about this family more than I expected. While mum suffer for depression, he is the one who stay beside her. The act of love touch me and I really salute dad for his patience, commitment, responsibility and love toward us.

While I wonder about my work, seeking answer am I suitable in sales line, God open another door for me. The reason I choose to stay in sales is because I able to meet up different people and opportunity. My new job scope are slightly similar to sales but can stay away from all dirty money and lying.

Lord thank you. What can I say about all these ?

A year filled with God's goodness :)

The stone manger

We are probably familiar with the story of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem. The Bible says that when the time had come, Mary “brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger”. (Luke 2:6–7) But have we ever wondered why the angel told the shepherds that the Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger was a “sign”?

Like most of us I grew up seeing Christmas cards of Jesus “asleep on the hay” in a wooden manger. Wooden legs in the shape of a large X with the bed a wooded-sided V. Is it possible Jesus’ manger was wooden? I think so. Is it likely? I think not.
Wood as a commodity for things like mangers, tables, etc. was rare in Galilee. The word teknon used for Joseph’s and Jesus’ occupation in Matthew 13:35 and Mark 6:3 is a matter of debate. (We get our word “technical” from this term.) Were these men “carpenters” or “stone masons”? Because the greater Nazareth area is not a forested area, but has many stone quarries, it is most likely Joseph and Jesus worked with stone, not with wood.
Stone mangers, troughs to feed animals, were common in Israel in the 1st century. When Mary wrapped her newborn son in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, he was in a solid, secure structure - a stone manger !
But why was that a sign? Because if we have seen the empty tomb of Jesus at a place called The Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, we would have noticed that the place where His body was laid, inside a tomb hewn out of rock, resembles a stone trough. The Bible says that after Jesus’ crucifixion and death, Joseph of Arimathea took Jesus’ body, wrapped it in linen and laid it in a tomb hewn out of a rock. (Mark 15:43–46)
Yea! There is the similarities, right? Wrapped in swaddling cloths and laid in a manger, baby Jesus would one day be wrapped in linen and laid in a tomb. That was the sign the angel was referring to. It pointed to Jesus’ death.
Jesus was the only child in all of humanity born to die. Once I realize that, I realize how much God loves me. Yahweh gave up His Son for that one purpose, and that His Son willingly came for that one purpose — to die for your sins and mine.
I can never imagine living a life knowing that I am just qualifying myself to die on the cross to save the world! How about you? And that was the life that Jesus lived. He lived to die, so that we might live and enjoy life abundantly today!
Quoted from Joseph Prince's daily devotion.

We are the reason

A sister taught me one of the way to refresh myself about Jesus' love by watching The Passion. Ha..indeed, it works! This year Christmas, I'm kind of look forward. No other special reason to make me think like that. Just simply hopes that it will be a meaningful celebration. Not so about carolling, gifts or party, just a session to remind myself the reason Yahweh sent His only Son, Jesus to this world 2000 years ago- the most and ever perfect Christmas Gift from God.

We are the reason that He gave His life. How wonderful is this love. So unbelievable and yet it is so true.

Dear Lord, thank you for this Gift.
