I found this mall during a visitation to Tanjung Tokong. I was shocked with the setting on my first sight. Soon, Penang Tesco will move there. The most headache site. This mall is totally different with other commercial mall. First of all, classical architectual and there is a bay along the mall. Hence, we planned to make a visit before go back. By the time we reached Penang was about 6 something evening. We took about 6 hours drive from KL to Penang. It was because we stop by a few station. One of it was Kampar for curry chicken bread. Yummy !
The Christmas theme for this year is Candyland. Hence we can see different type of giant candies around the mall.

Nikki taking pic with one of them |
Besides the tradition decoration, there too have a few programs for this Christmas. One of it is Candy Wonderland Musical. The storyline is simple. Evil one trying to vanish Candy Princess. Typical ! However I love the dance, songs and the way they perfomed.

Like Disney Cartoon. Good and Evil dance together. |

We wish we could to take with the candy characters. But too bad, we are too old to do it. |
I like the princess and the queen. Princess is pretty and queen is awesome. The way she walk and act really like a evil queen. Others named as Candy Floss Fairies, Candy Elves, Clowns, Cupcake Divas, Jugglers and Stilt-Walkers.

Strait Quay Promenade.
Around the bay, there are Irish Pub, German Bistro and some other fine dinning restaurants |
|
Light House. Soon there will be boat rides service from Upper Penang Road to Strait Quay.
Currently under construction. |

Impressive setting ! |

My favourite pic during christmas-Christmas Tree. The height is about 2.5 storey height. |
Most of the shops are under renovation. I guess soon or later this mall will become one of the tourist spot in Penang. I would recommed my other state friends to Strait Quay instead of Queensbay Mall. By the way, thing I look forward is Art Centre. It will start by January, if not mistaken. Will it as good as KLCC MPO? Hmm..
